Cool, very dramatic colour and lighting, I assume the Moon is on the verge of hitting the main planet?

The very bright light in the center is the sun going nova, just without all the crazy tendrils one can add to a supernova image :). I added the moon to add the special effect of shadows and what not.

I repeat my comment from F3D. :)

I think this is nicely done. The entirely dark side of the planet/moon orbitting the big one takes you aback for a moment, a bit like an eclipse. If it's a planet you could've added some city lights to the dark side for additional atmosphere! Nicely done though1 :)
